Kartopu is a planning tool; it doesn't give investment advice. Simulations rest on your assumptions. Karto never changes a record without your approval.
1. Parties and scope
These terms apply to your use of the Kartopu mobile app (“Kartopu”, “the app”). Published by: Hakan Eren. By using the app you accept these terms. In case of any difference, the Turkish text prevails.
2. The service
Kartopu is a personal finance and planning app that helps you bring your assets, income and expenses, debts and receivables together, set goals and see when you could reach them under different scenarios.
- The app doesn’t ask you to open an account and works offline.
- Your data is kept only on your device; Kartopu has no server (see the Privacy policy).
- Kartopu doesn’t connect to your bank, investment account or any other financial institution, and makes no transfers, payments or trades.
3. Not investment advice
Kartopu is not an investment adviser and does not give investment advice.
- Simulations, projections and scenarios are calculations based on the information you enter and the assumptions you choose (returns, inflation, raises, price increases, etc.). They are not certain results or guarantees.
- The inputs and assumptions of every calculation are shown in the app. Actual results may differ.
- Karto’s answers and the sayings in the app are not advice or guarantees either.
When making financial decisions, consult a licensed adviser if needed.
4. Karto and the approval rule
Karto is an assistant that runs on your device and lets you say what you want in plain language.
- Karto doesn’t guess at a request it doesn’t understand; it asks about anything missing or unclear.
- Every action is first prepared as a draft with its financial effect shown. No real record changes without your explicit approval.
- “What if” questions are simulations and never touch your real records.
- Checking the drafts you approve is up to you.
5. Free and paid features
Kartopu’s core features (status, goals, plans, simulation and Karto) are free, and there are no ads in the app. Some advanced features may be paid in the future; if so, we will announce it clearly in advance and ask for your separate consent for paid features. Payments are subject to the terms of the store you downloaded the app from.
6. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
- Because your data is kept only on your device, you are responsible for your device’s security and for exporting your data when needed. If your device is lost or the app is deleted, data you haven’t exported cannot be recovered.
- You agree not to use the app for unlawful purposes, and not to reverse engineer, copy or attempt to bypass its security measures.
7. Intellectual property
The rights to the Kartopu name, logo, design, texts and software belong to the publisher of the app. You may use the app for your personal use only.
8. Limitation of liability
Kartopu is provided “as is”. We take care that calculations and price data are correct; however, exchange rates and gold prices come from third-party sources and may be delayed or wrong. Except where liability cannot be limited by law, we are not liable for consequences of financial decisions you make based on the app’s simulations or Karto’s answers.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We will announce significant changes in the app or on this page; the date at the top of the page changes.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Your statutory rights as a consumer are reserved.
